Since 2006 Adam “Geosphere” has been creating his own unique electronic music and Live-Pa sets of deep experimental Ambient, Minimal and Techno Soundscapes.
As a child Adam was interested in, and influenced by, electronic and experimental musicians, Tangerine Dream, Vangelis, John Carpenter, Jean-Michel Jarre, Brian Eno, Mike Oldfield and Kraftwerk. He had a few keyboards and would make strange mixtapes incorporating his own sounds and samples from artists and motion picture soundtracks.
In 1994 after discovering Calgary’s local rave culture Adam began collecting Underground dance music vinyl records, CDs and started mixing Deep House, Minimal and Ambient music, soon performing out live DJ sets as “Geosphere”.
When producing and creating music and sound, Adam uses Ableton Live, Korg, Novation Launch Control and Launch Pad, Juno 106 and various keyboards and some audio sampling to create his audio environments.
Over the years he has performed as a live artist at events and venues such as The Glenbow Museum for Bian Eno’s 77 Million Paintings exhibition, Pahoa Hawaii Food Music party, Teddy Bear Picnic in Saskatoon and Motion Notion music festival in Alberta Canada to name a few.
Adam is Two Spirit from the Blackfoot Nation (Treaty 7) in Southern Alberta. He was raised in Calgary where he first discovered the local art, music and underground dance floor community. He now currently resides in Saskatchewan Canada. Adam also creates in other forms of art, exploring different mediums, materials and techniques. As “Geosphere” musician, he will take you on an innovative audio journey, exploring electronic music environments connecting the mind, body and soul.
